Jacobson Discusses the Importance of Collaboration in Advancing Diversity

February 20, 2020

CHICAGO – As the industry works to advance equality and diversity, a unified effort is required across companies and sectors. Margaret Resce Milkint, managing partner of The Jacobson Group, will join a panel of industry experts to discuss how organizations can increase collaboration at the executive level at the first ever Women & Diversity Expanding Opportunity in Insurance conference in New York.

Milkint will participate in a breakout session titled, “Increasing Executive Collaboration to Expand Opportunities and Drive Action.” She will be joined by Heather Boyer, senior vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer of Society Insurance, and Sha ‘Ron James, partner at Berger Singerman. The panel will be moderated by June Holmes, chief operating officer and treasurer of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association, and take place on February 28, 2020, at 11:10 a.m. EST.

“I’m thrilled to be a part of such an important conversation,” said Milkint. “As the industry comes together to proactively and intentionally promote inclusion, taking a collaborative approach and sharing best practices is key.”

As managing partner of Jacobson, Milkint oversees executive management engagements across all industry verticals for the firm’s executive search practice. Her insurance-specific labor-market expertise is highly sought after, and she is regularly called on to share her insights with various industry associations and publications. Milkint co-founded the Women’s Insurance Networking Group, a platform for leading industry females to network and celebrate successes. She chairs the Million Women Mentors Women in Insurance Initiative. In addition, Margaret serves as the U.S. committee chair for the Insurance Supper Club, which provides a network and forum for senior-level women in the insurance industry on a global basis, and the U.S. co-chair of Dive In. She is also a proud trustee of The Actuarial Foundation and a champion for the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s Women in Insurance Conference Series.

The Women & Diversity Expanding Opportunity in Insurance conference is hosted by APCIA, American Council of Life Insurers and Life Insurance Council of New York, Inc. For more details on the session, visit this link.
