CHICAGO – The Jacobson Group, the leading global provider of insurance talent, announces that Senior Vice President of Human Resources JoJo Harris was appointed to the board of directors for the National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) Chicago Chapter. NAAIA is an organization with a longstanding history of creating a network among people of color and others employed in or affiliated with the insurance industry. The association’s Chicago chapter has maintained an unwavering focus and dedication to efforts which support individual and collective career success.
As a board member, Harris will commit to the association’s mission of addressing the career development needs of insurance professionals with a keen focus on continuing education, career management, professional development and relationship management.

As senior vice president at Jacobson, Harris is responsible for leadership and management of the firm’s human resource functions. This includes formalizing, implementing and overseeing all human resources policies and procedures with a strong focus on internal talent acquisition, retention and development. Harris also serves on the firm’s executive management team and plays an integral role in the growth and development of the firm.
Active in her community, Harris is an advisory board member for the United Way Women’s Leadership Council and serves as the children’s church director for Bright Star Church. She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Penn State University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from Loyola University of Chicago.
