Jacobson to Share Insights into Navigating the Insurance Talent Landscape

May 23, 2017

CHICAGO – The insurance labor market is shifting at an accelerated pace as a retirement crisis looms and young professionals remain largely unaware of the opportunities insurance careers provide. In order to ensure continued success, organizations must learn to attract, retain and develop strong Millennial and Generation Z talent. Margaret Resce Milkint, managing partner of The Jacobson Group, will explore the changing insurance labor force at the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) 2017 Educational Conference and Business Show in Orlando, Fla. Throughout her presentation, she will also focus on strategies for recruiting and engaging the next generation of talent.

“As the insurance workforce evolves, insurers must rethink their current recruitment and engagement strategies to better meet the needs of the changing labor market,” said Milkint. “The talent mandate is real and immediate. The industry must reevaluate how they attract and develop talent at all levels in order to stay competitive.”

Milkint will present “Mission Possible: Strategies for Today’s Talent Challenges” on June 6, 2017, at 3:30 p.m. The session will focus on the changing insurance talent landscape and evolving strategies for attracting and engaging top talent in today’s increasingly challenging market. These best practices include forward-thinking tactics for managing a multi-generational workforce, attracting and engaging young employees, and developing future leaders.

As managing partner of Jacobson, Milkint oversees executive management engagements across all industry verticals for the firm’s executive search practice. Her insurance-specific expertise is highly sought after, and she is regularly called on to share her insights with various industry associations and publications. Milkint co-founded the Women’s Insurance Networking Group (WING), a platform for leading industry females to network and celebrate success. In addition to her role with WING, Margaret serves as the U.S. committee chair for the Insurance Supper Club, which provides a network and forum for senior women in the insurance industry on a global basis.
