Greg Jacobson is co-Chief Executive Officer of The Jacobson Group, the leading provider of talent to the insurance industry. Greg has successfully guided the firm through substantial growth over the years, as demonstrated by the company’s recognition as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private staffing firms on multiple occasions.
In addition to overseeing the organization, Greg manages select search assignments for the firm's executive search practice. He has consulted companies internationally in all areas of the life, health, property and casualty insurance communities. He has successfully assisted leading industry organizations in the acquisition of critical senior-level talent including Board Members, CEOs and other C-suite roles.
Greg is an active participant in the insurance community. He contributes to many industry association events, including those of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA), the International Insurance Society (IIS), the Medical Professional Liability Association (MPL Association), and the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC). He is considered an expert on the industry's labor market and is often called upon to share his perspectives on the industry’s talent outlook, human capital strategies, talent acquisition and succession planning. He is a featured columnist in Best’s Review and also contributes his insights with periodicals such as Carrier Management, Reactions, Insurance Business America, and the Wall Street Journal.
Greg is a Board Member of the National Insurance Industry Council for the City of Hope and a former Board Member for the Chicago Sinfonietta, the United States’ most diverse orchestra. He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and an Independent Director of a New York-headquartered specialty property and casualty insurer. Greg graduated from Illinois State University of Normal.
Judy Busby is the Senior Vice President of Executive Search and Corporate Strategy for The Jacobson Group. In this role, Judy offers leadership and strategic direction to the firm’s executive search practice, which provides executive search and selection consulting for insurance leadership positions across all disciplines. Judy is also a key member of Jacobson’s Executive Management Team and is accountable for directing corporate-wide initiatives that ignite the continued development and growth of the entire organization. In addition, she manages select executive-level search engagements for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Judy brings an impressive track record of organizational development and high-performance leadership to her role at Jacobson. She has assisted countless executives, leaders and other valued team members in realizing their organizations’ strategic objectives. In fact, through her strategic and consultative approach to executive search, she has even inspired a few of our clients to shift their organizational structures to better align with their missions, visions and strategic objectives. Her expertise in human behavior science also uniquely positions her to offer guidance on attraction and retention strategies for high-impact executives.
A successful entrepreneur, prior to joining Jacobson, Judy owned a well-established management consulting firm specializing in high-performance leadership and executive coaching. Her impressive career record includes tenures with large publicly traded corporations, where she was responsible for leading several hundred technical and professional employees and contractors through strategic business initiatives. She also directed projects nationwide for new product development, process improvement and leadership development. Judy has held Executive Director positions in publishing, biotechnology, transportation and process management consulting, leading functions such as customer service, engineering, facilities, human resources, maintenance, operations and quality.
Judy received her Master of Science in Management and Organizational Behavior (MSMOB) with a major in organization development from Benedictine University, her MBA in operations management from St. Joseph’s University, and a bachelor’s degree in business logistics from Penn State University. She also holds the Project Management Professional certification.
Margaret Resce Milkint is Managing Partner of The Jacobson Group. A member of the firm’s Executive Management Team, she is a key ambassador in establishing strategic client relationships and broadening the firm’s reach and breadth of insurance talent solutions. Margaret’s passion lies in counseling clients on leadership selection and she has successfully managed countless executive searches during her more than 30 years with the firm.
Margaret’s executive search career spans domestic and global C-suite, executive management and Board of Director roles with depth in the property and casualty, life, health and reinsurance sectors. She has successfully conducted searches in disciplines such as actuarial, analytics, underwriting, claims, operations, risk, finance, investment, legal, technology, sales and marketing.
Margaret is a Trustee and Vice-Chair for The Actuarial Foundation and a Board Member for the Illinois Technology Foundation. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Society of Actuaries (SOA) Employers Council and is a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange. Her expertise on career and recruiting issues is widely-recognized; and as such, she is an active industry speaker and thought leader. She is called upon frequently to contribute insights to industry publications and to speak at regional and national conferences, including those of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association, Insurance Data Management Association, Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation, National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, the SOA, and the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters.
Margaret is a champion for diversity, inclusion and intersectionality in the insurance industry. She co-founded the Women’s Insurance Networking Group (WING), a platform for networking and career development among the insurance industry’s female and enlightened male professionals. Margaret is also the U.S. Committee Chair for The Insurance Supper Club, a global forum for senior industry leaders.
Margaret received her bachelor's degree in English with concentrations in French and marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Joyce Dunn is a Vice President and Managing Director for The Jacobson Group's executive search assignments. In this role, she manages CEO, President, C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches primarily for life, health, property, casualty and reinsurance organizations.
Joyce brings more than 30 years of insurance and business experience to her position. Prior to joining Jacobson, she served in a variety of roles with Canal Insurance in Greenville, S.C., including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer. Her extensive background also includes tenures with Lumber Insurance Companies, the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia and several years as a retail agent. Joyce's multi-faceted industry experience enables her to provide a valuable insider’s perspective on her clients’ searches.
Active in the insurance industry, Joyce holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, and the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. She has also completed a Harvard University executive leadership course, as well as a Dorman Consulting Associates product management course. Furthermore, she serves on the board of the Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation and is a member of the CPCU Leadership and Managerial Excellence Interest Group.
Joyce received the Academic Excellence Award in Business from Lander University, Greenwood, South Carolina, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has also completed a Master of Science in Management (MSM) in risk management and insurance from Florida State University.
Jessica DeMars is Vice President of Talent Partnerships for The Jacobson Group’s executive search team. In this role, she develops and executes executive-level talent business strategy, leveraging her strong network to build and maintain key relationships in the insurance industry.
Jessica brings 15 years of sales, training and account management experience to her role with Jacobson, along with a proven track record of success in consistently meeting and exceeding business goals. In her most recent role with LexisNexis Risk Solutions, she managed regional and national accounts across all verticals. Jessica utilized her expertise in relationship building and project management to consistently help clients achieve their business objectives.
Prior to working at LexisNexis, Jessica spent eight years at Travelers, gaining hands-on experience focused on management, training, sales and new business development. Throughout her career, she has honed her expert communication skills to build effective internal teams and establish long-term industry partnerships. With her background in the risk and insurance industry and solutions-focused, collaborative approach, Jessica has the knowledge and experience to translate business insights into executive-level talent solutions for existing and prospective clients.
Jessica earned her Master of Business Administration from Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, and her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Abbie Fleming is an Assistant Vice President and Managing Director for The Jacobson Group's executive search team. In this role, she manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Abbie brings more than 15 years of human resources, consulting and business experience to her position. Prior to joining Jacobson, Abbie held a variety of senior-level human resource roles with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, in the areas of talent acquisition, talent development and training, and internal communications. Abbie has led multi-phased international recruiting projects, as well as other strategic talent management programs. She has also driven many employee engagement initiatives and executive communication efforts. Her career includes tenures with Bain & Company and Gibson & Associates Consulting. Drawing from her consulting foundation and corporate experience, Abbie is able to serve her clients as a true partner, bringing them insightful perspectives and valuable results.
She attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Ind., where she received her bachelor's degree in business administration. She also earned a master’s degree from National-Louis University in Chicago.
Evie Moschel is a Vice President and Engagement Director for The Jacobson Group's executive search team. In this role, she manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Evie brings extensive experience recruiting within the insurance industry in a multitude of functional areas, including actuarial and underwriting. She has successfully blended corporate in-house recruitment experience with a search firm background. Her broad recruitment and talent acquisition career record encompasses tenures for such organizations as Argonne National Laboratory, Indalex Inc., True Value Company, Zurich North America and United Airlines.
Evie holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Loyola University in Chicago, as well as a master’s degree in industrial relations and human resources management.
Julie Dunn is an Engagement Director for The Jacobson Group’s executive search team. In this role, she manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Julie brings more than 15 years of human resources experience to her role with Jacobson, almost half of which were within the insurance industry. Specializing in talent acquisition, she has served as a business partner to leadership teams across a variety of functions including consulting, IT, finance, operations and more. Julie most recently led the start-up human resources function for a growing private equity firm, playing a crucial role in crafting and driving their talent management and development strategies. Her impressive career also includes tenures with Aon Hewitt and Zurich North America. Julie’s human resources expertise coupled with her deep-seated industry knowledge translates into proven executive search and selection consulting for her insurance clients.
Julie studied architectural and art history at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She also earned her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
Chris Kleckner is an Engagement Director for The Jacobson Group’s executive search team. In this role, he manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Chris brings more than 15 years of talent acquisition experience to his role with Jacobson, the majority of which were spent in the insurance industry. He has provided strategic recruitment leadership and support to teams across a variety of functions, including accounting, finance, sales and marketing, underwriting, and more. In his most recent role, Chris managed the executive recruitment process for Zurich Insurance Group, consulting with senior leadership to ascertain their talent needs and to share his market insights and expertise. Prior to his role with Zurich, Chris spent nearly nine years at Allstate, serving as a corporate subject matter expert. His extensive insurance talent acquisition background translates into powerful insights that contribute to his proven executive search and selection consulting abilities.
Chris studied business management and human resources at DePaul University in Chicago. Before transitioning into the business world, he served in the United States and Europe with the United States Army.
Michael Wellin, a Chartered Business Psychologist of the UK, is contracted by Jacobson to conduct and analyze psychometric behavioral assessments of executive search candidates. With more than 20 years of experience, Michael leverages proven psychological theory and scientific research to interpret the Hogan assessment and provide valuable analysis of candidates’ behaviors as required for success.
