Greg Jacobson is co-Chief Executive Officer of The Jacobson Group, the leading provider of talent to the insurance industry. Greg has successfully guided the firm through substantial growth over the years, as demonstrated by the company’s recognition as one of the nation’s fastest-growing private staffing firms on multiple occasions.
In addition to overseeing the organization, Greg manages select search assignments for the firm's executive search practice. He has consulted companies internationally in all areas of the life, health, property and casualty insurance communities. He has successfully assisted leading industry organizations in the acquisition of critical senior-level talent including Board Members, CEOs and other C-suite roles.
Greg is an active participant in the insurance community. He contributes to many industry association events, including those of the International Insurance Society (IIS), the Property and Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI), the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), and the Physician Insurers Association of America (PIAA). He is considered an expert on the industry's labor market and is often called upon to share his perspectives on the industry’s talent outlook, human capital strategies, talent acquisition and succession planning. He is a featured columnist in Best’s Review and also contributes his insights with periodicals such as LOMA’s Resource, Reactions, National Underwriter Property and Casualty, and Business Insurance.
Greg is a Board Member of the National Insurance Industry Council for the City of Hope and a former Board Member for the Chicago Sinfonietta, the United States’ most diverse orchestra. He is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and an Independent Director of a New York-headquartered specialty property and casualty insurer. Greg graduated from Illinois State University of Normal.
Margaret Milkint is Managing Partner of The Jacobson Group. She handles executive management and actuarial searches on a national and international basis in the areas of life, property and casualty, healthcare, reinsurance, and consulting (benefits, life and health, property and casualty) for the organization's retained search practice. She also plays a significant role in the continued development of the entire organization as a member of Jacobson’s Executive Management Team. Margaret is a key player in establishing cross-border relationships and broadening the firm’s global reach.
Margaret joined the firm more than 25 years ago and has successfully completed search engagements including Board of Director members, CEOs, CMOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, CROs, Chief Underwriters and Chief Actuaries. Her international search expertise encompasses disciplines such as actuarial analytics, underwriting, risk, finance and investment, legal, IT, sales and marketing, and claims. Prior to her tenure with the firm, she was employed by Allstate Insurance Company of Northbrook, Ill.
Margaret received her bachelor's degree with concentrations in English, French and marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She currently serves as a Career Development Speaker for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois. She is the former Chair of the Board of Directors for Easter Seals, DuPage and the Fox Valley Region, and a current Board Member of the Illinois Technology Foundation, focusing on the importance of communication, social media and networking skills. Margaret is also a volunteer instructor for Jobs for Youth, a non-profit organization addressing youth employment. Additionally, Margaret is a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange.
As the co-founder of the Women’s Insurance Networking Group (WING), Margaret is a champion of diversity and equality in leadership in the insurance industry. WING was launched as a platform for networking among the insurance industry’s female leaders and enlightened males, those who understand the importance of diversity and equality in leadership in the insurance industry.
Margaret's expertise on career and recruiting issues is widely-recognized throughout the industry. She was most recently called upon to share her perspectives with Best’s Review, Insurance & Technology, The Actuarial Review, LifeHealthPro, TechDecisions, and Diversity/Careers. She further communicates her insights with the industry through bylined articles; these were most recently featured in Stepping Stone, Riskpertise, and Broker World. Margaret is also called on to speak at many regional and national conferences, including National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI), Society of Actuaries (SOA) and the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS).
Margaret is based out of the firm’s global headquarters in Chicago.
Joyce Dunn is a Vice President and Managing Director for The Jacobson Group's executive search assignments. In this role, she manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches exclusively for life, health, property, casualty and reinsurance organizations.
Joyce brings more than 30 years of insurance and business experience to her position. Prior to joining Jacobson, she served in a variety of roles with Canal Insurance in Greenville, S.C., including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer. Her extensive background also includes tenures with Lumber Insurance Companies, the Independent Insurance Agents of Virginia and several years as a retail agent. Joyce's multi-faceted industry experience enables her to provide a valuable insider’s perspective on her clients’ searches.
Active in the insurance industry, Joyce holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation, and the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. She has also completed a Harvard University executive leadership course, as well as a Dorman Consulting Associates product management course. Furthermore, she serves on the board of the Motor Carrier Insurance Education Foundation and is a member of the CPCU Leadership and Managerial Excellence Interest Group.
Joyce received the Academic Excellence Award in Business from Lander University, Greenwood, S.C., where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has also completed a Masters of Science in Management (MSM) in Risk Management and Insurance from Florida State University.
Lisa Barrett, SPHR, serves as an Engagement Director for The Jacobson Group. In this role, Lisa partners with insurance organizations to secure the most suitable high caliber executive talent for their leadership assignments.
Lisa provides clients with more than 20 years of human resources, operations, board member and consulting expertise. Her diverse insurance and healthcare career includes carrier, managed care, captive management and brokerage experience. A proven industry human resources executive, she possesses a successful track record in staff recruiting, development, retention and succession planning for the entire spectrum of industry disciplines at all levels. Lisa's functional knowledge also extends into corporate risk management, finance, information systems and plan design/management. This inside perspective translates into executive acquisition strategies that deliver results for her clients’ critical senior-level assignments.
Lisa is actively involved in a number of insurance and human resources organizations, including the Society of Human Resource Management. She attended the University of South Carolina at Columbia, S.C., where she received both her bachelor's degree in business administration and her MBA. She also earned her SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) designation and is a licensed property and casualty agent in her home state.
Abbie Fleming is an Engagement Director for The Jacobson Group's executive search team. In this role, she manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Abbie brings more than 15 years of human resources, consulting and business experience to her position. Prior to joining Jacobson, Abbie held a variety of senior-level human resource roles with Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, in the areas of talent acquisition, talent development and training, and internal communications. Abbie has led multi-phased international recruiting projects, as well as other strategic talent management programs. She has also driven many employee engagement initiatives and executive communication efforts. Her career includes tenures with Bain & Company and Gibson & Associates Consulting. Drawing from her consulting foundation and corporate experience, Abbie is able to serve her clients as a true partner, bringing them insightful perspectives and valuable results.
She attended Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Ind., where she received her bachelor's degree in business administration. She also earned a master’s degree from National-Louis University in Chicago, Ill.
Lisa Rothman is an Engagement Director with the executive search and selection practice of The Jacobson Group. In this role, Rothman focuses on C-level, vice president and other executive-level searches, consulting with clients from all sectors of the insurance industry to attract and select high-caliber talent.
Bringing nearly 15 years of recruiting experience to her role, Rothman has completed searches in the areas of insurance, finance, administration, sales and marketing. Prior to joining Jacobson, she served as Head of Recruitment at Willis North America. She then transitioned to New York Life to manage as the Corporate Vice President of Talent Acquisition. She has overseen the full-cycle recruitment process and collaborated with key personnel to analyze and create staffing strategies.
Rothman is a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) and received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Maryland in College Park, Md. She also volunteers for INROADS, which prepares minority youth for corporate and community leadership, and Bottomless Closet, which provides disadvantaged women with business attire, interview preparation and professional development resources.
David L. Hansen is an Engagement Director for The Jacobson Group's executive search team. In this role, he manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Dave brings more than 15 years of executive search and recruiting experience to his position. Prior to joining Jacobson, Dave served as Director of Business Development at a leading Chicago-based CPA firm, focused on identifying and leading new business development opportunities for the firm’s tax, audit and consulting services. Dave’s career includes tenures with the retained search practice of a strategic management consulting firm and the internal recruiting practice of a specialty consulting firm. Through his breadth of experience, Dave developed his unique abilities to leverage resources and drive business development efforts. Drawing from his rich recruitment foundation and corporate experience, Dave serves his clients as a true partner, delivering the highest caliber candidates with valuable results.
Dave attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich., where he received his bachelor's degree in English. He also earned a master’s in business administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Jaime Elgas is an Engagement Director for The Jacobson Group's executive search team. In this role, she manages C-level, Vice President and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry.
Jaime brings more than 10 years of human resources leadership experience to her position, including valuable time working for major insurers. Prior to joining Jacobson, Jaime recently held the role of Assistant Vice President and Head of Talent Acquisition for CNA Financial. In this role, Jaime lead a team responsible for enterprise-wide talent acquisition including executive search, high-volume hiring and even university recruitment. She also developed a talent acquisition strategy that established a common vision of the future, created alignment across stakeholders, and provided an effective framework for decision-making and prioritization, among other accomplishments.
Her career also includes tenures with Chubb, Aon, Sprint Corporation, and Dell. Jaime’s insurance-heavy background, coupled with her human resources leadership and recruiting experience, ensure success in client searches.
She attended Loyola University of Chicago, where she received her bachelor's degree in English and then a master’s degree in human resources and organization development.
Evie Moschel is a Fulfillment Director with the executive search and selection practice of The Jacobson Group. In this role, Evie is responsible for the direction and supervision of the insurance executive recruiting team which sources, identifies and engages executive-level candidates for retained searches. In addition, she actively recruits and engages individuals as candidates and further facilitates the recruitment process through fulfillment.
Evie brings extensive experience recruiting within the insurance industry in a multitude of functional areas, including actuarial and underwriting. She has successfully blended corporate in-house recruitment experience with a search firm background. Her broad recruitment and talent acquisition career record encompasses tenures for such organizations as Argonne National Laboratory, Indalex Inc., True Value Company, Zurich North America and United Airlines.
Evie holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Loyola University in Chicago, as well as a master’s degree in industrial relations and human resources management.
