Jacobson Discusses Succession Planning Considerations at LIC Final Expense Workshop

CHICAGO – As Baby Boomers continue to retire and average agent age increases, succession planning is becoming a priority for final expense carriers. Abbie Fleming, assistant vice president and managing director of The Jacobson Group, will discuss a variety of succession planning best practices and considerations at the Life Office Management Association’s 2019 Life Insurers Council Final Expense Workshop.

Fleming will join Steve Lang, president of Lang Consulting, LLC, and Scotty Elliott, president and chief executive officer of One Life America, for a roundtable discussion on this important topic. Who should be responsible for succession planning? Why are companies often unprepared? How can an organization measure its succession planning readiness? The panelists will engage attendees in conversations around these key areas and many more during their session on June 12 at 2:30 p.m. CDT in Dallas.

“Succession planning is a vital component of a comprehensive talent strategy,” said Fleming. “This session will provide a variety of perspectives on common questions and help attendees develop or tighten their plans, no matter where they are in the succession planning process.”
