Jacobson Discusses Career Strategies for Women at Lake Forest College

January 24, 2019

CHICAGO – Today’s female professionals face many roadblocks and challenges in pursuing their careers. Glass ceilings prevent highly talented individuals from achieving leadership roles and women often struggle with finding supportive mentors and executive sponsorship opportunities. In today’s business reality, how can women successfully prepare themselves and ensure they are fully represented in their organizations? Margaret Resce Milkint, managing partner of The Jacobson Group, will answer this question and more as a part of Lake Forest College’s Women in Business Panel in Lake Forest, Illinois.

“Although gender equality has become a key initiative for many industries and organizations, women still face challenges in their journeys to career success,” said Milkint. “Women must support one another to bring positive lasting changes to themselves and their organizations.”

The panel is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CST on February 7, 2019, and will be held in Calvin Durand Hall within the college campus. Milkint will be joined by three other panelists: Jessica Coleman, vice president of investment management division at Goldman Sachs; Diane Michels, artist of possibility at Possibility Partners; and Celena Roldan, CEO of the American Red Cross of Chicago and Northern Illinois. This session will also discuss how women can be successful in male-dominant fields.

As managing partner of Jacobson, Milkint oversees executive management engagements across all industry verticals for the firm’s executive search practice. Her insurance-specific labor-market expertise is highly sought after, and she is regularly called on to share her insights with various industry associations and publications. Milkint co-founded the Women’s Insurance Networking Group, a platform for leading industry females to network and celebrate successes. She chairs the Million Women Mentors Women in Insurance Initiative.  In addition, Margaret serves as the U.S. committee chair for the Insurance Supper Club, which provides a network and forum for senior-level women in the insurance industry on a global basis, and the U.S. co-chair of Dive In.
