Jacobson Discusses Career Strategies for Women in Insurance at Digital Insurance Women in Leadership Conference

October 18, 2018

CHICAGO – Today’s female insurance professionals face many roadblocks and challenges on the path to leadership roles. Glass ceilings prevent highly talented individuals from leading the industry and women often find it difficult to find supportive mentors and executive sponsorship opportunities. How can women successfully prepare themselves in today’s business reality and ensure they are fully represented? Margaret Resce Milkint, managing partner of The Jacobson Group, will answer these questions and more as a panelist at the Digital Insurance Women in Insurance Leadership Conference in Chicago.

“Gender equality, especially for the insurance industry, is a must-have in order to thrive in the 21st century,” said Milkint. “It is up to insurance leaders to champion talented female professionals to lead the industry and collaborate to ensure there is equal room for everyone to grow.”

The session titled “Females in the Workplace and Their Evolving Employment Environment” is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. CDT on October 30, 2018, and will be moderated by Pat Speer from Speer Content Strategy & Development LLC. Milkint will be joined by Katherine Mabe, executive vice president at Allstate Insurance Company, and Lisa Paschal, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Ryan Specialty Group. This session will discuss what challenges today’s female executives face in the workplace and how to overcome them.

As managing partner of Jacobson, Milkint oversees executive management engagements across all industry verticals for the firm’s executive search practice. Her insurance-specific labor-market expertise is highly sought after, and she is regularly called on to share her insights with various industry associations and publications. Milkint co-founded the Women’s Insurance Networking Group, a platform for leading industry females to network and celebrate successes. She chairs the Million Women Mentors Women in Insurance Initiative.  In addition, Margaret serves as the U.S. committee chair for the Insurance Supper Club, which provides a network and forum for senior-level women in the insurance industry on a global basis, and the U.S. co-chair of Dive In. She is also a proud trustee of The Actuarial Foundation and a champion for the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation’s Women in Insurance Conference Series.
