Jacobson Discusses Succession Planning at the American Fraternal Alliance 2018 Spring Symposium

May 23, 2018

CHICAGO – The growing change in the insurance industry landscape is driving organizations to reevaluate their current talent management strategies. Insurers are now tasked with closing the growing gap left behind as Baby Boomers vacate their long-held executive roles.

Abbie Fleming, assistant vice president and engagement director of The Jacobson Group, will explore succession planning strategies as a panelist at the American Fraternal Alliance 2018 Spring Symposium in Rosemont, Illinois.

“The loss of human capital is a serious and timely risk that must be addressed,” said Fleming. “Now is the time for organizations to develop succession plans and prepare for the growing executive skills gap.”

The session, titled “Succession Planning for Staff and Leadership,” is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on May 24, 2018. Fleming will be joined by two other panelists: Lee Ann Hazi, chair of the board for GBU Financial Life, and Dan Shinnick, president and CEO of the National Mutual Benefit. The session will identify the current industry trends and discuss how to establish effective succession plans.

As assistant vice president and engagement director of Jacobson, Fleming manages C-level, vice president and other executive-level searches for clients from all sectors of the insurance industry. She facilitates and drives all aspects of the executive search engagement, serving as primary point of contact for our clients, and guiding the recruiting team’s efforts internally.
