Jacobson Discusses Evolving Professional Development at PRMA 2018 Conference

March 30, 2018

CHICAGO – The insurance industry stands face-to-face with a growing leadership talent gap. Organizations need to better position their current employees for greater enterprise contribution and ongoing leadership within the industry. As a result, insurers must rethink, rebuild and reinvigorate their professional development strategies. Joyce Dunn, vice president and managing director of The Jacobson Group, will explore best practices for developing talent at the Public Risk Management Association’s 2018 Conference in Indianapolis.

“The reasons behind the emerging leadership gap are multi-faceted,” said Dunn. “Developing and growing their current employees will be critical to ensuring future success.”

Dunn will present “Rethinking Leadership: Overturning Traditional Professional Development” on June 5, at 3:00 p.m. The session will identify the changing dynamics of today’s workforce, evaluate current professional development strategies, and discuss strategies for transitioning current employees into industry leaders.

As vice president and managing director of Jacobson, Dunn manages C-level, vice president and other executive-level searches exclusively for life, health, property, casualty and reinsurance organizations through the firm’s executive search practice. Active in the insurance industry, Dunn holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter designation, the Certified Insurance Counselor designation, and the Certified Risk Manager designation.
