Jacobson to Moderate Panels on Transformation and Cultural Change

February 28, 2017

CHICAGO – Insurers face a wide array of challenges in devising future-facing business strategies. Organizations must embrace transformation in both their business plans and their company cultures in order to evolve with the constantly changing market. Margaret Resce Milkint, managing partner of The Jacobson Group, will moderate a set of panels on business strategy at the Insurance Nexus USA 2017 conference in Chicago.

“The insurance industry is facing an onslaught of disruptors,” said Milkint. “The industry’s future success will rely upon the ability to embrace these challenges and adapt in order to retain talent and foster innovation.”

Milkint will be moderating two panels. The first, “Take Hold of Transformation Plans: Plug in KPIs to Ensure ROI,” will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 14, 2017. This panel will include Laurie Kimmel, head of data management and infrastructure services for IAT Insurance, and Chris Edgington, senior solutions consultant for Kofax. This session will explore methods for developing and measuring effective business strategies and operational efficiencies. The second session, “Create Cultural Change to Get Your Workforce on Board with Future Plans,” will take place at 3:45 p.m. on March 14, 2017, and feature Arlene Kern, senior vice president and strategic innovation leader for Munich Re, and Andy Pelcin, vice president of claims data analytics implementation for Chubb. Their discussion will focus on retaining employees and maintaining engagement through periods of change.

As managing partner of Jacobson, Milkint oversees executive management engagements across all industry verticals for the firm’s executive search practice. Her insurance-specific labor-market expertise is highly sought after, and she is regularly called on to share her insights with various industry associations and publications. Milkint co-founded the Women’s Insurance Networking Group (WING), a platform for leading industry females to network and celebrate successes. In addition to her role with WING, Margaret serves as the U.S. committee chair for the Insurance Supper Club, which provides a network and forum for senior women in the insurance industry on a global basis.
