Jacobson to Share Insights into Managing and Embracing Disruption

February 09, 2017

CHICAGO – In today’s era of fast-paced technology, disruption is quickly becoming a natural part of the business cycle. With consistent technological innovation and an impending talent crisis, the insurance industry’s traditional business model is now facing ground-breaking shifts. Margaret Resce Milkint, managing partner of The Jacobson Group, will discuss best practices for managing disrupters during a presentation at the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters Chicago-Northwest Suburban Chapter Meeting in Schaumburg, Ill.

“As an industry, we must adapt to the reality that disruption has become unavoidable,” said Milkint. “The insurance industry is no longer able to insulate itself from transformation, and we have to embrace the potential brought by these disrupters in order to ensure future success.”

Milkint will present “Disruption & Innovation—The New Insurance Reality” at the 5:30 p.m. meeting on February 23, 2017. Her presentation will focus on managing the emergence of disrupters, as well as strategies and best practices for embracing the opportunities this trend brings.

As managing partner of Jacobson, Milkint oversees executive management engagements across all industry verticals for the firm’s executive search practice. Her insurance-specific labor-market expertise is highly sought after, and she is regularly called on to share her insights with various industry associations and publications. Milkint co-founded the Women’s Insurance Networking Group (WING), a platform for leading industry females to network and celebrate successes. In addition to her role with WING, Margaret serves as the U.S. committee chair for the Insurance Supper Club, which provides a network and forum for senior women in the insurance industry on a global basis.
